Zapotec

Zapotec is a strategy board game that challenges players to build, sacrifice, and expand around the capital of a pre-Columbian civilization.

Players build temples, cornfields, and villages in the three valleys surrounding the capital to generate the resources needed for bigger ambitions. Each round, everyone secretly chooses a card that sets turn order and determines which resources they collect. On their turns, players spend those resources to construct houses, unlock special abilities, make sacrifices to the gods, and build pyramids. With simultaneous planning and efficient resource conversion, Zapotec delivers a focused euro-style challenge in a compact playtime.
