Welcome to Boarding School Games (“BSG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, products, and services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1) About Boarding School Games

BSG sells board games and accessories to individuals and families. We reserve the right to limit, allocate, or cancel orders at our discretion (including suspected resale or policy abuse). All sales are subject to availability, allocation, and these Terms.

2) Independent Reseller Status

Boarding School Games is an independent reseller. The appearance of a publisher, manufacturer, brand, trademark, product name, logo, product image, or other identifying information on this site does not imply that Boarding School Games is an authorized retailer, distributor, affiliate, sponsor, or partner of that publisher or manufacturer unless expressly stated.

Trademarks, product names, logos, and related identifying information are used to identify genuine products offered for sale. Unless a listing says otherwise, products sold as new are genuine, sealed retail products lawfully acquired for resale.

Publisher warranties, replacement-part programs, organized-play benefits, promotional benefits, or other authorized-channel services may vary by publisher and may not apply to purchases from Boarding School Games.

3) Other Policies Incorporated by Reference

These Terms work together with our other policies, which are part of your agreement with us:

If there is a conflict, these Terms control unless a policy explicitly states otherwise.

4) Accounts; Accuracy of Information

  • You must provide accurate contact, payment, and shipping details and keep them current.
  • We may cancel or refuse an order if we suspect fraud, abuse, policy violations, or resale activity that conflicts with our agreements.
  • You must be able to enter a binding contract (typically 18+). Parents/guardians are responsible for purchases by minors.

5) Prices, Taxes, and Errors

  • Prices are shown in USD and may change without notice (except where required by law).
  • You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, and shipping.
  • We may cancel all or part of an order for typographical or system errors (pricing, availability, shipping quotes) and will refund affected amounts to the original payment method.

24-hour cancellation window (most orders)

All transactions— including in-stock purchases, Special Orders, Preorders, Reservations, Deposits, ZBag purchases, and gift card purchases— are cancelable for a refund to the original payment method within 24 hours of purchase, provided the order has not already been fulfilled or redeemed as store credit within that window. After 24 hours, cancellations and refunds follow the Refund & Returns Policy and any product-specific terms.

Large / high-risk orders (manual review exception)

Orders that are unusually large in quantity, high in total value, or flagged for manual review/verification (including suspected resale, policy abuse, fraud risk, chargeback risk, or the need to verify address/payment details) may have cancellation restrictions even within the 24-hour window.

  • We may refuse cancellation once processing/fulfillment begins.
  • If we do cancel/refund, we may deduct non-refundable payment processing fees and related handling costs from the refund, up to 15% of the order’s merchandise subtotal.
  • If we are able to void the authorization and avoid processing fees, we will do so.

6) ZBag (Store Credit) & Gift Cards

  • Nature: ZBag is store credit issued by BSG. Earned/rebate ZBag has no cash value and is not redeemable for cash.
  • No fees / No expiration: ZBag credits and BSG gift cards have no dormancy fees and do not expire.
  • Refundability (purchases of ZBag/gift cards): Purchased ZBag credits and BSG gift cards are refundable to the original payment method for 24 hours if unredeemed. After 24 hours (or once any portion is redeemed), purchases are final.
  • Usage: ZBag applies to merchandise as a discount at checkout. ZBag cannot be used to pay shipping.
  • Interactions: You can use ZBag to purchase BSG gift cards. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase ZBag or memberships.
  • Rebates: Eligible purchases earn a ZBag rebate that typically posts about 7 days after the order. Gift cards and memberships do not earn rebates unless explicitly stated.
  • Refunds to ZBag: Merchandise refunds may be issued to ZBag only if (a) the original purchase was paid with ZBag, or (b) you authorize a refund to ZBag.
  • Inactive balances & conversions: If a ZBag balance shows no activity for 12 months, we may convert it to a BSG digital gift card of equal value (no fees, no expiration) and email it to the address on file. If we change ecommerce platforms, discontinue ZBag, or close an account, we may also convert remaining ZBag to a BSG digital gift card (equal value, no fees, no expiration).

Order of Use / Allocation of ZBag

ZBag may be issued from two sources: (a) Purchased ZBag (paid store credit) and (b) Earned/Promotional ZBag (rebates, adjustments, goodwill credits, or other no-cash-value promotions). When ZBag is spent, our system may apply credits in an order determined by BSG. Unless a product/promo explicitly states otherwise, purchased ZBag is applied first, and earned/promotional ZBag is applied last.

BSG’s internal account ledger is the source of truth for ZBag issuance and use. In the event of a dispute about which ZBag was spent, BSG will determine allocation at its sole discretion based on ledger history. A customer’s lowest ZBag balance reached since their most recent purchased-ZBag transaction will be treated as the maximum possible remaining purchased-ZBag portion at any time.

ZBag Forfeiture for Misconduct

If an account is suspended or closed for bannable misconduct under Section 11, all earned/promotional ZBag is immediately forfeited and void, including pending rebates, goodwill credits, or promotional adjustments. Any remaining purchased ZBag (if applicable) will be handled in accordance with applicable law and may be converted to a BSG digital gift card of equal value delivered to the email on file where permitted.

7) Special Orders, Preorders & Reservation Deposits (Partial Pay)

  • Payment modes: Some items require either pay-in-full (often via ZBag) or a Reservation Deposit to hold your spot in the queue.
  • Price at fulfillment: For Reservation Deposits, the final price is set when the item is ready to ship, based on our pricing at that time. A deposit is not a price lock. Shipping is billed on the final invoice.
  • Queue priority: Fulfillment proceeds oldest to newest by timestamp when stock arrives.
  • Cancelability: Until an item is invoiced to BSG by the supplier, you may cancel a Special Order/Preorder/Reservation to ZBag store credit. Once invoiced (i.e., committed and in transit), the order is treated as in-stock and is not cancelable.

8) Shipping; Risk of Loss

Shipping, processing times, and split-shipment options are described in our Shipping Policy. Risk of loss passes to you upon carrier pick-up. Shipping is non-refundable except in the case of carrier-confirmed loss.

9) Used Products

Used items are re-certified for completeness/playability prior to shipment and may require additional handling time. Due to the nature of used goods and fraud risk, used items are sold as-is after certification and are not returnable. See the FAQ for our certification standards.

10) Promotions, Discounts & Limits

  • Promotions may be modified or ended at any time unless prohibited by law.
  • We may limit quantities per customer/household/account/address.
  • Promotions cannot be applied to past purchases unless explicitly stated.

11) Acceptable Use; Prohibited Conduct

  • No fraudulent activity, chargebacks without cause, abuse of promotions, scraping, or interference with site operation.
  • No use of our content, trademarks, or product data except as permitted by law or with our written consent.
  • Harassment or abuse of staff: harassment, threats, intimidation, hate speech, slurs, stalking, doxxing, extortion/coercion, or repeated hostile communications toward any BSG employee or representative, including after a warning or boundary.
  • Fraud or deception: use of unauthorized/stolen payment methods; materially false claims regarding orders, delivery, product condition, or authorization; or fabrication/alteration of evidence.
  • Chargeback abuse (“friendly fraud”): initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for a legitimate transaction instead of following BSG’s stated customer-service or refund process, including disputes for orders that were delivered or used.
  • Discount / promotion / loyalty abuse: exploiting promo codes, rebates, referral programs, NiceList/Not-NiceList terms, or ZBag in ways not intended by the offer; creating multiple accounts to evade limits or re-qualify for promotions; or attempting to sell/transfer earned promotional credits outside approved methods.
  • Returns / refund abuse: excessive or patterned returns inconsistent with normal retail use; returning opened/used/damaged items as new; component/box swapping; partial returns; or repeated false “not received/damaged” claims.
  • Order / shipping abuse: refusing delivery to bypass policy; repeated address manipulation; or other conduct intended to force refunds, reshipments, or special treatment outside posted terms.
  • Other misconduct: unlawful activity involving BSG, interference with our website/systems, or any attempt to circumvent purchase limits or allocation rules.

Enforcement. If we determine that a customer has engaged in prohibited conduct, we may refuse service, cancel pending orders, suspend or permanently close the account, and/or take any other action we deem necessary to protect BSG, our customers, or our staff. Consequences may include forfeiture of earned/promotional ZBag as described in Section 6.

12) Intellectual Property

All site content (text, graphics, logos, product descriptions) is owned by BSG or licensed to us and protected by applicable IP laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the site for personal, non-commercial shopping.

13) Privacy; Electronic Communications

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the site, you consent to receive service communications electronically (order confirmations, invoices, policy updates). You may manage marketing preferences via the links provided in our emails.

14) Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability

  • The site and products are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, BSG is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order.

15) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BSG and our employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the site.
