Water-based overhead-projection markers work best on Chessex vinyl mats because they are designed for plastic. Grease pencils, permanent markers and dry erase pens should not be used on the mats. Test any new pen on a small area such as the border and wait at least 30 minutes before wiping to confirm the color comes off cleanly.
