Step into the role of a notorious commander or feared captain, each bringing special abilities that add more tactical decision-making to your turns. Equip your ship with cannons to break into island fortifications and chase new rewards, then leverage rum trading and new market elements to pivot your strategy mid-game. Two double-sided exploration board pieces refresh the map flow, while new cards and figureheads deepen your upgrade paths. Commander boards and black markets add fresh asymmetry without changing what makes the base game click. It also includes solo cards to expand single-player variety.
