The four environments are a deep forest, a grassy plain, a rocky desert and a polar landscape. Each is an open playspace that a Game Master can customize for the encounter at hand. Each mat measures 24 x 30 inches unfolded and 8 x 10 inches folded. Wet-erase, dry-erase and permanent markers all wipe off the coated surfaces.
