Nippon: Zaibatsu (Emperor's Edition)

Nippon: Zaibatsu (Emperor's Edition) is a strategy board game that puts players in charge of industrial conglomerates competing to modernize Meiji-era Japan.

Players manage zaibatsu by building and modernizing factories, producing goods, supplying local markets, fulfilling contracts, developing technology, and expanding railroads. The game blends area majority with worker placement, giving players sharp timing decisions because actions cannot be blocked. Consolidation turns let each player reset their engine, gain income and bonuses, and shape which tracks will score at the end of the game. This Emperor’s Edition adds extra content, including double-sided factories, heat-printed wooden resources and tokens, a Common Goals module, and a multipart plastic organizer; metal coins are not included.
