First Rat (2024)

First Rat (2024) is a board game in which rival rat families race through the old junkyard to build a rocket and reach the Cheese Moon.

All the rats work together to build the rocket, but each family competes to build the most rocket parts and train the most Rattronauts for the lunar cheese. Each turn, move one rat up to five spaces, or move several rats up to three spaces if they all end on spaces of the same color, paying one cheese for every rat already there. Along the way, collect resources, buy or steal useful items, build rocket parts and train Rattronauts to gather Victory Points. Numerous strategies, special skills and a variable setup keep games fresh, and First Rat can also be played solo. Designed by Gabriele Ausiello and Virginio Gigli, it plays with 1 to 5 players in 30 to 75 minutes. Available now at Boarding School Games - race for the Cheese Moon.
