Encyclopedia is a dice-based worker placement board game that turns natural history research into a strategic race for discovery.

In 1739, players become aspiring naturalists hired by the Comte de Buffon to help create the first encyclopedia of natural history. Each round, players draw, roll, and place dice, then use their color and value to fund research, prepare expeditions, hire experts, and publish studies of remarkable animals. Smart dice management matters, with ways to adjust results and even use opponents’ dice while giving them a bonus.
