Breakthrough Russia is a WWII strategy wargame that covers the war in the East from the summer of 1941 to the summer of 1943, when the outcome hung in the balance. Designed for two players and also suitable for solitaire play, it has a low-to-moderate complexity and a low count of corps and armies, so a game fits into an afternoon. Shorter scenarios cover Barbarossa, Fall Blau and Kharkov-Kursk, and a bonus scenario extends the game to the end of the war in 1945. A chit-pull system sets each player's resources rather than which units activate, and each turn players choose Pass, Attrition or Offensive. Partisans, industrial production, weather, air transport, Lend-Lease and 40 variant cards keep each game different. Available now at Boarding School Games - break through on the Eastern Front.
