Aquatica: Duellum

Aquatica: Duellum is a standalone card game that turns the world of Aquatica into a tense head-to-head battle for control of the underwater realm.

Players lead the Protectorate of Turtles or the Serene Republic of Calmari, building their kingdom by playing action cards, recruiting mercenaries, calling on helper animals, and claiming locations in the depths. The three-layered boards and dynamic market on the vortex board give each turn a sharp tactical feel, while the tug-of-war pressure over crowns adds constant tension between the two sides. Victory can come through long-term scoring or sudden endgame swings, so timing matters just as much as engine-building. It plays in about 45 minutes for 1–2 players ages 14 and up.
