A Distant Plain: Insurgency in Afghanistan is a board game that drops players into a multi-sided struggle for influence, control, and survival in modern Afghanistan.

Built on the COIN Series system, players guide competing factions with different goals, capabilities, and pressures as they respond to shifting events and a constantly changing political and military landscape. Operations range from military action and political maneuvering to terrorism, drug trafficking, eradication, sabotage, and efforts to shape support across the map. The design creates a tense, asymmetric experience in which alliances are temporary, priorities collide, and every card forces difficult tradeoffs.
