2001: A Space Odyssey

2001: A Space Odyssey is a one-versus-many board game where the crew of the Discovery One races to shut down a murderous AI before it kills them.

One player takes control of HAL, the ship's sentient computer, and gets extra turns to sabotage systems and pick off the crew. Everyone else works together as crew members, each with a special ability, trying to complete three logic sequences in the HAL Core and save the mission. It is a streamlined, tense game of hidden information that captures the standoff at the center of the film. It plays 3 to 5 players in about 30 minutes for ages 10 and up.
