Scout

Scout is a card game that turns fixed-hand ladder climbing into a tense puzzle of timing, orientation, and opportunistic steals. Each dual-index card can be played one of two ways, but you can never rearrange your hand—only rotate it—so every turn is about spotting runs or sets that outclass what’s on the table.

On your turn, either play a higher-ranked set to capture the current display or “scout” a card from its ends, slotting it anywhere in your hand to build toward a bigger strike later. Once per round, you can scout then immediately play, rewarding sharp reads and bold pivots. Rounds end when someone empties their hand or everyone else scouts, with points for captured cards and penalties for leftovers. Available now at Boarding School Games—bring it to game night.
