Planet Unknown is a sci-fi tile-laying board game that challenges 1–6 players to terraform a new world with clever polyomino placement and engine-building.

Earth has run out of resources, and each player has been tasked with developing a different planet to secure humanity’s future. Every round, you’ll draft a dual-resource polyomino from the rotating “Lazy S.U.S.A.N.” space station, then place it on your planet board to expand terrain and advance multiple tech tracks at once. Tile placement is tense and tactical: you’re racing to cover your planet efficiently, unlock powerful upgrades, and line up scoring opportunities—while dodging meteors that can block scoring in entire rows and columns. Rovers roam your surface collecting lifepods and cleaning up meteors, adding another layer of planning as you balance long-term strategy with the opportunities each tile presents. With simultaneous turns, asymmetric planets and corporations, and a complete game that plays in about 60–80 minutes regardless of player count, it delivers a big, satisfying puzzle without dragging down game night.
