Monster Pit

Monster Pit is a standalone cooperative fantasy board game that challenges Captains to defend the Citadel from a rampaging Monster.

Set in the Catacombs universe, the game begins when the Monster Pit opens after more than 1,000 years of peace, unleashing horrors that threaten the kingdom. Players recruit soldiers, wizards, heroes, mounts, and wyverns to build their Outposts, shape dice pools, and prepare for combat. Each round blends dice drafting, tableau building, worker placement, and tactical decisions as Captains gather gold, visit Citadel districts, fight creatures, and strike at the Monster. Five distinct Monsters, six Captains, solo support, cooperative play, and one-versus-many options give the game strong replay value across different group styles. Designed for 1–4 players, ages 14 and up, Monster Pit plays in 60–120 minutes. Available now at Boarding School Games—Defend the Citadel together.
