Hive - The Pillbug is a tile expansion that adds a new insect with a powerful “lift and place” ability to freshen up Hive’s two-player battles.

Add a pair of Pillbug tiles to your Hive set and introduce a new way to disrupt formations without changing the core goal of surrounding the Queen. The Pillbug moves one space like the Queen Bee, or it can use its special power to pick up an adjacent, unstacked piece and relocate it to an empty space next to the Pillbug. That single twist opens up new tactics for breaking blocks, rescuing trapped pieces, and setting up surprise surrounds. It’s a small add-on with outsized impact, perfect for players who want more positional play and sharper counterplay. Plays 2 players in about 20 minutes, recommended for ages 9+.
