Empire of the Sun: The Pacific War, 1941-1945 is a standalone strategic wargame that covers the Pacific War from Pearl Harbor through Japan’s surrender.

Players direct major Allied and Japanese forces across a single theater map, using strategy cards to drive operations, mask intentions, and create pressure at the right moment. The design blends card-driven tension with classic hex-and-counter wargaming, with land, air, and naval forces coming together in a two-tier combat system. Victory turns on U.S. political will, giving Japan a path through negotiated peace while the Allies work to blunt expansion and drive the war toward Japan. This 5th Printing includes the Burma Scenario, an updated rulebook with Burma setup, an 11" x 17" Burma map, two strategy card decks, counters, player aids, a mounted mapboard, and a 10-sided die.
