Dark Ages: Heritage of Charlemagne is a civilization-building strategy board game that brings 4X conquest and euro-style planning to early medieval Western Europe.

Players lead rising realms through expansion, resource production, construction, technology, military growth, and noble ambition. Each region and leader offers asymmetric choices, while the action-selection system rewards careful timing as actions can trigger useful secondary opportunities. Build cities and fortifications, train infantry, archers, and cavalry, and compete for control across a map focused on Charlemagne’s Western Europe. Solo play is included, and the game can be combined with Dark Ages: Holy Roman Empire for an expanded map.
