Players take command of either German forces with minor Axis powers or the Soviet defense of Stalingrad. The game centers on the fight for the city and its surrounding operations, with two scenarios: Race to Stalingrad and Operation Uranus. Stalingrad gets its own board, bringing ferries, snipers, and close-quarters fighting into the tactical picture. Order cards help control the flow of play, while supply lines, winter pressure, and shifting reinforcement needs keep both sides under stress.
